Oren Elharar, Pharm.D. is an Instructor/Academic Facilitator in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Dr. Elharar received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from NSU College of Pharmacy in 2014. Post-graduation, Dr. Elharar practiced in community pharmacy and long-term care settings where he gained experience with various patient populations and compounding. Dr. Elharar joined the NSU College of Pharmacy in 2018 as an academic facilitator, assisting students in courses and coordinating Patient Care labs. He joined the College’s Office of Assessment in 2020. His current responsibilities include reviewing course examinations, assisting faculty with item writing and post-exam item analysis, scheduling of student accommodations, and training and supporting faculty and students with electronic testing platforms. He currently serves on the Assessment and Curriculum Committees and works closely with faculty by leading various workgroups to implement assessment and curriculum-related projects. He also serves as a student advisor. Dr. Elharar teaches upper respiratory tract infections in the Pharm.D. curriculum and is active in the pharmacy profession. He holds membership in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy since 2018 and the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.
