Marina Galvez-Peralta, PharmD, PhD, FCP serves as Director of Student Professional Development in the Office of Admissions and Students Affairs, and as Assistant Chair for Teaching and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU) School of Pharmacy. Dr. Galvez obtained her PharmD, MS, and PhD at University of Sevilla, Spain, a postdoctoral fellowship addressing cancer resistance at Mayo Clinic and a T-32 fellowship at University of Cincinnati. She is a Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology and obtained PharmD license in the US. Currently, at WVU School of Pharmacy, Dr. Galvez has contributed to the design and implementation of system-based therapeutics courses. Dr. Galvez current research focus is on addressing the curricular innovation, critical thinking, and students’ wellbeing. She has numerous publications and communications. She has been recipient of different awards and served at different levels at the school, university, and national level.
