Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe design and implementation strategies for exclusively online MS programs that incorporate best practices that are resource efficient.
  • Compare and contrast best practices from a Maryland and an Ohio State online MS program, including adaptations to support online adult learners.
University of Maryland and Ohio State University offer Master of Science (M.S.) graduate programs offered exclusively online. Both programs are important contributors to our institutional missions but rely on existing college of pharmacy resources. At Maryland and Ohio State, the objective was to provide an exclusively online program with modest additional resources. This session will describe best practices for Maryland’s M.S. in Regulatory Science and Ohio State’s M.S. in Translational Pharmacology.
