Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Ellen Jones is an associate professor of pharmacy practice at Harding University College of Pharmacy, where she joined the faculty in 2018. She received her Pharm.D. from Harding in 2016 and completed a PGY1 residency at White River Health System in Batesville, AR. Her undergraduate degrees are in music and theatre, and she worked in these disciplines before becoming a pharmacist.
Dr. Jones's teaching includes coordinating four didactic courses, Patient Centered Care 1, 2, and 3, and Self Care Pharmacotherapy, and lecturing in the Integrated Pharmacotherapy Series. She is currently the sponsor of the Dr. Mark S. Reilly NCPA student chapter and the ACT Pharmacy Collaborative champion at Harding. She is active in APhA, ASHP, and ACCP, serving on multiple committees for these organizations.
She serves as the clinical pharmacist at OneLife Direct Primary Care, where she works directly with patients to manage a wide variety of chronic disease states, from cardiovascular disease to mental health disorders. Her research interests include incorporating theatre concepts into pharmacy education to improve communication and leadership skills and the use of artificial intelligence in pharmacy education and practice.
