MANAS MANDAL, M.Sc., Ph.D., Professor and Fulbright Scholar at the Roseman University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Mandal has received PhD in Science from the Jadavpur University, India, and did postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago, and University of Michigan. He held research faculty positions at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and Virginia Tech’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He was engaged in cutting edge vaccine research and cancer immunotherapy at the University of Michigan and bio-defense research at the Virginia Tech. He is an Adjunct Faculty at the JSS AHER, Mysuru, and BITS, Pilani, Goa Campus, India. His expertise is immunology teaching and research. He has developed and teaches an elective course on COVID-19.
Dr. Mandal is the recipient of Fulbright US Scholar Program, Egypt, All Disciplines Award, Binational for the AY 2023-24, Helwan University, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cairo, Oct 2023 – January 2024. In 2019, he had been awarded Fulbright Specialist appointment by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs to teach a course on ‘Molecular Immunology’ at the BITS, Pilani Goa campus in September 2022.
Dr. Mandal published peer reviewed research articles in major immunology and pharmaceutical journals, and wrote book chapters. He serves as an editor for scientific journal and reviewer for scientific articles, grants/ awards and professional meeting submissions. He is professionally associated with AACP, AAPS, AAI, NABP and ACPE. Dr. Mandal gave invited talks in the US and abroad and chaired scientific sessions.
