Nick Nelson, PharmD, BCCCP, BCPS, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Wingate University School of Pharmacy. He is originally from northern Arizona and completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, PGY1 residency at University of Kentucky HealthCare, PGY2 critical care residency at University of Michigan Health, and an academic fellowship at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. His research interests include optimizing medication related outcomes through both clinical research and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) of student pharmacists. His clinical interests include dose optimization and impact of patients experiencing augmented renal clearance while his SoTL interests consist of determining methods to enhance clinical reasoning abilities and self-directed learning of students.
