Stephanie Hunziker, PharmD, BCMTMS is Director of Pharmacy Skills and Simulation, Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, and Coordinator for the Education Specialization Program at SIUE School of Pharmacy. After graduating from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (formerly St. Louis College of Pharmacy), she completed a primary care pharmacy practice residency at the University of Mississippi Hospitals and Clinics in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Hunziker coordinates skills-based assessments and co-coordinates all six courses of the Pharmacy Skills Lab course sequence across the first through third years of the PharmD program at SIUE. In addition, she coordinates experiential simulation activities in the third year, precepts APPE students for an academic elective rotation, and teaches in many other courses. Dr. Hunziker is enthusiastic about pharmacy practice skill development, pharmacy education, and mental health and wellness; therefore, integrates these into her teaching, service, and scholarly work.
Dr. Hunziker has been an active member of the AACP Laboratory Instructors’ SIG for the past few years, and is the incoming Chair-Elect for 2024-2025. She is also a certified Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor, recently completed the ASHP Well-Being Ambassador Certificate Program and is completing the 2024 AACP Academia CommunityTransformation (ACT) Educators’ Badge Program.
