Mary S. Kopale, M.A. (she/her/hers)

Senior Instructional Designer

Mary Sullivan Kopale, M.A., is the Senior Instructional Designer at the UIC College of Pharmacy. Her goal, always, is to increase student learning so that our students can become highly competent, successful heath care professionals. She collaborates with faculty, students, the IT team, and administration to advance teaching and learning. She trains and supports educational technology users not only in how to use and troubleshoot ed tech, but in when and why to use ed tech to increase student learning. In addition to her work with educational technology, she is involved in faculty professional development, assessment, course design, student engagement, active learning facilitation, orientation, and more. Before coming to UIC, Mary worked in corporate instructional design and training, K-12 faculty professional development, and as a high school teacher.
