Andrea Franks, PharmD, BCPS is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science in the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. After 30 years in clinical practice, she has recently transitioned into a new role as Assistant Dean for Curricular Affairs. Dr. Franks teaches throughout the PharmD curriculum and leads and participates in college and campus committees and working groups responsible for educational programs and curriculum. She has received several teaching awards including recognition as UT Alumni Association Distinguished Service Professor as member of the UTHSC Academy of Master Educators. Recently, she was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow in the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Franks has presented local, regional, national and international presentations and workshops regarding teaching and learning, burnout, wellbeing, career vitality, and workplace culture in higher education.
