Director of Transformation and Health Equity

Miranda Steinkopf is the Director of Transformation and Health Equity at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). She has a passion for health equity, pharmacy practice transformation, and the intersection of these with pharmacy education. In her current role, she manages programs related to pharmacy practice and education transformation in the AACP Transformation Center (ATC) and contributes to projects focused on health equity (involving diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility, and justice). Her research, projects, and programs involve enhancing practice transformation, pharmacy education transformation, and health equity across colleges and schools of pharmacy, pharmacy practice, and healthcare. She works to develop new programs, products, and/or services related to these topics.
Prior to joining AACP, she completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency with Kaiser Permanente Northwest, focused on health system management and ambulatory care, and a PGY-2 ambulatory care and academia residency with Pacific University School of Pharmacy, during which she practiced at a Federally Qualified Health Center (Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center). In 2023, she completed a two-year Academic Leadership and Education Fellowship with AACP. She became a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist. Prior to residency training, she earned her PharmD degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2021.
