Dr. Patti Darbishire serves in a dual role in the Purdue College of Pharmacy - Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Clinical Professor in Pharmacy Practice. In her role as Associate Dean, Dr. Darbishire provides oversight of all measures of student success, learning and assessment, admissions, recruitment, career development, and student organizations. She is a College representative at national and international meetings, and regularly interfaces with College and University offices responsible for academic affairs.
Her faculty-related areas of interests and research span experiential education, community pharmacy management, course design and instruction, service-learning, and interprofessional education. She was recently completed a fellowship in the Big Ten Academic Alliance Leadership Program. She was recognized with a Purdue Teaching for Tomorrow Faculty Fellowship Award for long-term contributions to teaching, mentoring, and improving the learning environment for students and faculty. She served as Chair of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Experiential Education section and six years on the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education editorial board. She is the former Editor of the Purdue Journal of Service-Learning and International Engagement, and a long-term faculty fellow and mentor with the Purdue Center for Instructional Excellence.
