Dr. Jordan M. Rowe, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UMKC School of Pharmacy and faculty for the UMKC Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medical Fellowship Program. She provides comprehensive medication management within the endocrinology and LGBTQ specialty clinics at University Health (UH) in Kansas City, Missouri, an urban safety-net health-system dedicated to providing interprofessional, patient-centered care for all. Within her role at the LGBTQ clinic, Dr. Rowe is a provider on the UH interprofessional LGBTQ care team to facilitate gender-affirming care clinical management, education, and access. Additionally, she facilitates continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump education, initiation, and ongoing management, as well as general cardiometabolic and diabetes disease state management within the endocrine clinic. At her clinic sites, she precepts third- and fourth-year pharmacy students as well as PGY-1 UH pharmacy residents. Dr. Rowe also serves as a volunteer preceptor and faculty advisor to the board at Sojourner, a free, student-run, interprofessional clinic for those who are uninsured or unhoused in Kansas City. Her professional areas of interest include advances in LGBTQ and endocrine health, clinical and educational outcomes associated with pharmacist roles in LGBTQ care, and identifying care models to successfully address health disparities.
