Russ Palmer is the Director of Instructional Innovation and Research at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He specializes in faculty development, instructional design and technology, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. He completed both a master’s in Education in Instructional Design and Development and a PhD in Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Georgia. He has collaborated with Pharmacy educators for over 18 years with a particular emphasis on the design of instructional technologies that support students in developing their reasoning and decision-making skills. His primary research interest lies in the nature of real-world problem-solving and the design of problem-solving learning environments, especially within health professions education.
