Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the key components of implementing a social determinants of health (SDOH) Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE)
  • Formulate strategies for fostering effective collaborations between academic institutions and community pharmacy partners to develop similar IPPE initiatives
Attendees will acquire the knowledge to create an innovative IPPE program, integrating telepharmacy and social determinants of health (SDOH) into the pharmacy curriculum. This approach aims to deepen students' understanding of pharmacist roles in SDOH and apply their skills meaningfully. By attending this session, participants will be empowered to create a similar IPPE program in collaboration with a community pharmacy partner engaged in practice transformation, ultimately enhancing the community impact of pharmacy students.
