At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Describe the general funding mechanism of NIH and different phases of grant writing, including pre- and post-submission
Demonstrate the specific strategies for writing different components of a grant proposal
Develop an effective, realistic, and appealing specific aims page for the participants' research idea
Pharmacy faculty are typically required to engage in scholarly activity and obtain extramural funding for promotion and tenure. However, many teaching-focused institutions lack resources to support their faculty with effective grant-writing training and grant submission. In this session, we will share effective approaches to writing a fundable grant proposal. After attending this session, participants will be able to understand the NIH and foundations grant mechanism and write an appealing and effective research proposal.
