Dr. Horace is a tenured professor at the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy, completing her 13th academic year of teaching. She is the program director of the University of Louisiana Monroe University of Louisiana Monroe Harm Reduction Education and Referral for Opioid Overdose Reversal (ULM H.E.R.O.) Program. This program aims to provide first responders with evidence-based educational programs on opioid reversal medications to reduce opioid overdose rates and increase referrals to treatment recovery centers. Dr. Horace also provides didactic lectures to student pharmacists in courses such as infectious disease and informatics and medication safety. She participates in scholarly activities and provides clinical services as a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist at CrescentCare in New Orleans. Her clinical responsibilities at her practice site include working with the New Orleans Syringe Access Program (NOSAP), participating in community health-fairs, providing chronic disease state management, and educating providers and staff.
