Health Sciences Librarian and Liaison to the Eshelman School of Pharmacy

Rebecca Carlson, MLS, AHIP, is the Librarian for the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is also the Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice for the Health Sciences Library at UNC. Carlson collaborates on education, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives with the Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the UNC Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Library Science degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and has also worked as a clinical medical librarian. She has co-authored 22 review papers and published other articles on interprofessional education and SoTL topics and has presented on systematic reviews and research process improvements at multiple national conferences. Carlson’s research interests include data science in health sciences libraries; improvements in systematic review and literature searching methods; interprofessional education and practice; and the value of librarians in clinical and didactic education.
