Carla Y. White is a highly regarded thought leader, influencer, and pragmatic strategist in the education and health science space. White is an entrepreneur, pharmacist, an Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Advancement and Clinical Education, and Associate Dean for Organizational Diversity and Inclusion at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

White served on the inaugural committee to develop the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Institute, chaired the AACP Taskforce on Diversifying Human Capital in Pharmacy Education, authored the first white paper and best practice papers on cultural intelligence and organizational strategy in pharmacy education, which led to implementation of evidence- based education and practice strategies across the profession and beyond.

Carla has more than one hundred invited presentations, 1.6M in grant funding, and is an award-winning educator, mentor, journalist, and leader.

Prior to her current role, Carla served as CEO of Harris Consulting, Director of the Pharmaceutical Care Labs at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, and health team pharmacist at WRAL-TV (CBS Affiliate) in Raleigh, North Carolina.
