Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Krisy Thornby, PharmD, BCPS, is a professor of pharmacy practice in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Gregory School of Pharmacy. Her primary responsibilities include teaching and coordinating the drug information and literature evaluation courses while serving as a preceptor for fourth year rotation students and residents electing drug information or academia. She maintains a practice site affiliation with a local hospital assisting with a variety of drug information related activities. She has over 10 years of experience serving on the curriculum and academic policies committee where she has developed a keen interest in curricular improvement. She considers herself a continuous learner with educational curiosity and values the interactions alongside colleagues involved in American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), where she is actively engaged. She has authored various articles on drug information practice as well as educational scholarship related to pharmacy curricula. She truly enjoys teaching student pharmacists the foundational principles of evidence-based medicine and takes great pride in training them to become critical thinkers who provide excellent patient care.
