Dr. Denise Kolanczyk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Downers Grove, IL. She obtained her PharmD from Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2009 and completed a 2-year pharmacotherapy residency with Indiana University Health and Butler University. With over 10 years of clinical pharmacy experience, she teaches cardiology, infectious diseases, and gastrointestinal pharmacotherapeutics in an Integrated Sequence and coordinates several lectures, workshops, and simulations in a Clinical Skills Development course series. She also has precepted several residents and students on cardiology and general medicine rotations. Denise is engaged in multiple state and national pharmacy organizations, and is currently serving as the Immediate Past President of the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists. She recently chaired the ACCP 2023 Publications Committee and oversaw the updates and revisions to the 2023 ACCP Pharmacotherapy Didactic Curriculum Toolkit. She also served on AACP’s Council of Faculties Curriculum Chair Community over the last year.
